The following list provides a brief synopsis of our staff's experience in a broad range of projects:

Offshore Oilwell Test Ships, Mexico

  • Design and drafting, including stress analysis on piping and the creation of all fabrication drawings of skids forming a portion of the equipment for offshore oilwell test ships.
Oil Battery, Russia
  • Detailed design stress analysis and fabrication drawings for 8500 m³ (53,500 bbl/d) oil battery equipment to be installed in Siberia.
CO2 Removal Plant, Australia
  • Design of a two-train Amine CO2 removal plant for an island off the west coast of Australia capable of handling approximately 6.62 E+06 m³ per day (235 mmscfd) of natural gas.
Glycol Dehydration Packages, Kazahstan
  • Design, drafting, construction management and shipping of 12 glycol dehydration packages for Kazakhstan with design capacities of up to 75 E+03 m³ per day each (2.6 mmscfd).
Glycol Dehydration Packages, Romania
  • Design and drafting of four glycol dehydration packages for Romania with design capacities of up to 1.700 E+06 m³ per day (60 mmscfd).
Booster Compression, Alberta
  • Detailed process, civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation design for the installation of a booster compressor including piping stress analysis at an ethane extraction plant.
Acid Gas Injection, Alberta
  • Acid Gas Injection project for injecting acid gas into a spent gas reservoir
Biogas Plant, Alberta
  • Complete process and mechanical design of a Biogas plant to capture biogas from anaerobic treatment ponds and treat it for use as boiler fuel.

Natural Gas Caverns:

Salt Cavern Storage Study, Eastern Canada

  • Performed underground storage study for natural gas storage in salt caverns for 169 E+06 m³ (6 BCF) of storage, increasing to 338 E+06 m³ (12 BCF). Project design by SolTech is under way.
Salt Cavern Facility Design & Management, Alberta
  • Feasibility studies for 5 caverns with production and storage capabilities of 338 E+06 m³ (1 BCF), each. Project design by SolTech is under way.

Liquids Storage Caverns:

Cavern Storage Design Services, Alberta

  • Performed feasibility studies on existing 6 caverns and 2 new caverns for storage and proposed delivery of a minimum of 1,590 m³ (10,000 bbl) of NGL in batches, at a maximum rate of 52,300 m³/day (329,000 bbls/day).
  • Performed feasibility study and preliminary design for a two product cavern storage facility. Provision was made to add more products in two to four caverns of 120,000 m³ (755,000 bbls) working capacity each.

Waste Storage Caverns:

Salt Cavern Storage System Design & Implementation, Saskatchewan

  • Designed, managed, and provided assistance for the implementation of a complete cavern long-term storage system including surface facilities, ecology pit, conveyor system, slurry pumping system, leaching system.
Sand Disposal Cavern Design & Management, Alberta
  • Provided detailed engineering design and managed the operation, construction, and monitoring of a new sand disposal cavern, including initial feasibility studies.
Conversion Feasibility Studies, Alberta
  • Feasibility studies on the conversion of four existing storage caverns to oilfield production waste disposal/long-term storage including mechanical integrity testing of wells and surface facilities.

Reservoir Storage:

Reservoir Storage Design & Construction Supervision, Alberta

  • Development of overall reservoir storage system configuration, including surface facilities and pipelines design, for 254 E+06 m³ (9 BCF) of natural gas, in a depleted reservoir.

The following list provides a brief synopsis of our staff's experience in electrical, instrumentation and controls:

Coal Fired Power Plants, Canada and US

  • DCS Project Site Manager for control system replacement on a 360MW power plant. Logic review, turbine water induction protection system design, created electrical construction packages, budget development and tracking, supervise installation, commissioning and startup support.
  • Design and configuration of numerous control systems and operator interfaces for new or modified power plant processes.
  • Designed various medium and low voltage distribution systems and conducted multiple power studies.
Congeneration Facility, Washington State
  • Instrumentation and controls commissioning of 248MW coneneration facility. Developed and managed loop check procedures, system function tests, and documentation. Also provided DCS tuning and configuration support during startup.
Waste Treatment, Alberta
  • Power distribution system modeling including short–circuit fault, relay coordination, load flow, and arc flash studies.
  • Designed and congiguration of control system for various waste treatment facilities process areas.
Coal Wash Plant, Alberta
  • 4160V and 600V power distribution system, including the substation, switchgear and MCCs.
  • Upgraded process control network to facilitate more robust reliable network. Designed and configured PLS and HMIs to replace existing DCS. Also specified instrumentation.
  • Startup and commissioning support
Oil Field, Egypt
  • Electrical design for 9 well satellites along with PLC design and configuration of a central processing facility.
